Fellow OB/GYN and long-time lurker here; so glad you're happy at the new job. I had so much empathy for you at your old toxic one, and it sounds so good that you made it out alive (and still loving what we do).

I just started my own blog (although my husband and I both agree that you have a lock on the best OB/GYN blog name ever):

gravitycircus.blogspot.com

I'd love it if you came by and had a look (in your free time, right?)

Congats again -
- CChttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10961763439921487407noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31146535.post-58964081021854366032009-11-23T20:30:10.706-05:002009-11-23T20:30:10.706-05:00Glad your job is better; I'm a long time reade...Glad your job is better; I'm a long time reader and OB/GYN who was worried about your toxic professional situation. My worst is when they make me be on my back or sit still with these babies I get antsy nurses. At least last time the OB did not break my water, thereby putting my babe in OP for the duration...and he said "let her move, squat, get on hands and knees." It made a big difference.

Blessings!
Dawn (pregnant again with hopefully birth # 7 who insisted on having an anterior placenta...can you say another OP labor anyone?)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31146535.post-91100828631219197412009-11-19T03:22:30.621-05:002009-11-19T03:22:30.621-05:00Just recently came across your blog. I've wanted to be an OB/GYN since high school, maybe even earlier. But I've always been too scared to commit to it because I didn't think it was possible to do that and have a closely knit family. So I drifted from major to major, never satisfied with my choice and ended up with a general bachelor's degree (and two beautiful babies, 2wks and 18 months). I still want to be an OB/GYN and you have inspired me! Especially now since things are getting better, as far as your schedule, and you seem to be so happy and together. I want to wait until my kids are a little older before I pursue it, but I'm only 22 - I have time! Thanks for showing the rest of us dreamers that it can be done!Hannahnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31146535.post-17647993282098741792009-11-06T21:33:46.869-05:002009-11-06T21:33:46.869-05:00Just stopped by to check in and am so glad to see ...Just stopped by to check in and am so glad to see you are settled in a new situation that is so much happier.
