I Resolve...

...to drink more wine.

...to have more fun.

...to stop worrying so much about whether people like me or not.

...to find a way to take less call.

...to pass the oral boards.

...to take advantage of breastfeeding and lose some serious weight before weaning.

...to say "no" more often to unwanted obligation.

...to say "yes" more often to invitations to play.

...to tell my office manager where to stick it (ok, not really, but still.)

...to make great memories with my kids.

...to preserve said memories in some sort of album.

...to appreciate my husband more.

...to take care of my appearance (nails, hair, clothes, lotion, general pampering.)

...to be a better friend.

...to find some local friends (so lonesome, this life).

...to plan more family trips.

...to be an understanding physician.

...to take good care of patients without being a pushover.

...to blog at least 4 times a month (it is therapeutic).

...to learn something new.

...to finally get my closet organized.

...to cook more "real" meals.

...to be a good example and role model for my impressionable (and smart) little girl.

...to be the woman that deserves the wonderful life that I am so blessed to lead.

Now, if you don't mind, I'm going to start a little early on resolution number one! Happy New Year, everyone!

Happy New year to you, too, Dr. Whoo. May you and your family find much enjoyment in the new year, especially as the little ones grow! (Don't blink...)

That is a great list. I can totally vouch for the breastfeeding to help drop the weight. I used to joke that I would bf my kids until college if that meant I could keep eating whatever I wanted.

As for the closet organization thing, make sure you take the before and after picture to post on the blog. It is always nice to get a little inspiration.

You sound like such a great person, though I bet you're too humble to see that.

I don't know about resolutions...I'm not good at those.

Blessings and Happy New Year!

You have a good list... I would love to take less call, and be a better nurse without being such a pushover with my patients, doctors, and fellow nursing staff... if only!

Enjoy your wine!

I can identify with all of them except for boards (I have a thesis and med school exams though) and the breastfeeding. Good luck!!

Why, my dear friend, don't we resolve to see each other in 2008?
